Learning independence

It is the time! Sit down and eat with one of us (daddy or mommy). He is almost 3yo and in our culture, it's not the time for independence yet. Trust me......while in the western, their babies eating by themselves before they are 2 even less.

Here....you can see nannies or mommy runs, catches, and feeds their kid. I am one of them hahahaha.....but now, it's time for him learning independence. Many parents haven't started yet, they are still spoiling their kid.

My lil rascal is a very slow boy, in good word he enjoys every seconds in his life hohohohoho
The teachers at his  school told me: "It's his nature mam" what a shame, he needs 45-60 minutes to EAT. Can you imagine that he is the last boy finishes his meal at school everyday? Even all the parents in his classroom know this...geeeeee....

His term break holiday this time used to train him eating faster and independent in 35 minutes.
Anger included for sure.....many punishments as well. I make sure myself that what i'm doing for his goodness.

The keys are still discipline and consistent.....How often I tempted to feed him but i'm learning to be super patient. I believe in one week he will have a better eating maner.

My tips for mums: Becareful with your emotion.........

Memorable super fun trip

I'm quite a simple mum in everythings I do! indeed!!! that is also the way I prepare A bag for a picnic, only a bag!!!

Here what I bring:
1. spare pair of t-shirt and short-choose the lightest fabric
2. spare nappy
3. wet and dry tissue
4. drink bottled- medium size, if you need more water just buy somewhere there
5. snacks - I prefer something sweet like m&ms as He just love it
6. lunch box- the simple menu like mashed potato and scrambled shrimp egg
7. hand sanitizer
8. camera
9. little toys-I brought his favorite toy cars

See!!! only a bagpack. light and simple. My boy is 2,8mo.

Before we go to Taman Safari Cisarua, I told him already to not being fussy, just sleep when he feels sleepy. Some warnings are necessary, they understand!

He was such an amazing boy!!! he played in the car, we had bad traffic 2,5hours on the way to Taman Safari and 2 hours on the way home. He walked by himself. He was an astonishing brave boy. He rode an elephant twice, first with me the second with his daddy. He rode a camel with me as well. We saw heaps of animal and he just loved it!

My tips for mums: prepare a light but complete bagpack, tell and remind him what you expect him to do directly, be ready to have fun and give yourself to it, don't worries too much

Choosing Playgroup

It's school time! he is just 2,5yo but I have my reasons:

1. Learning to make friends because he doesn't have any siblings yet nor cousin
2. Learning independence in doing basic skills such as eating
3. I heard that the golden age will be at the top at 3 yo

He goes to International School, my expectation, he can speak 3 languages at a time Indonesian as my mother language, English as the second and Mandarin as the third. He learn international curriculum and he can enjoy school -not learning so hard but get the love of learning

The perfect age to learn languages is under 6yo. So It is the right time.

My tips for mums, Children's need is your first priority. Sending him to school is not because you want to be free. Being a mum is a full time devotion. If you've observed the needs of going to school than spending time to find a school that fit to him and fit to your wallet ^^ The best school nearby might be the worst school for your children. Choose the school that can accomodate your children's need.
